Delicious Homemade Chicken Chowmein Recipe

Here’s a recipe for Chicken Chowmein:

Ingredients:

– 200g chowmein noodles
– 250g boneless chicken breast, thinly sliced
– 2 tablespoons soy sauce
– 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
– 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
– 1 tablespoon sesame oil
– 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
– 2 cloves garlic, minced
– 1 small onion, thinly sliced
– 1 small bell pepper, thinly sliced
– 1 small carrot, julienned
– 100g bean sprouts
– 2 green onions, chopped
– Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

1. Cook the Noodles:
– Cook the chowmein noodles according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.

2. Marinate the Chicken:
– In a bowl, mix the sliced chicken with soy sauce, oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, and sesame oil. Let it marinate for about 15-20 minutes.

3. Stir-Fry the Chicken:
– Heat a wok or large skillet over high heat. Add 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil. Add the marinated chicken and stir-fry until it’s cooked through. Remove the chicken from the wok and set it aside.

4. Cook the Vegetables:
– In the same wok, add the remaining tablespoon of vegetable oil. Add minced garlic, sliced onion, bell pepper, and julienned carrot. Stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until the vegetables are slightly tender but still crisp.

5. Combine with Noodles:
– Add the cooked chowmein noodles to the wok with the vegetables. Toss everything together.

6. Add Chicken and Bean Sprouts:
– Return the cooked chicken to the wok. Add bean sprouts and toss everything together until well combined.

7. Season and Garnish:
– Season with salt and pepper to taste. Stir in chopped green onions.

8. Serve:
– Transfer the Chicken Chowmein to a serving platter or individual plates. Serve hot and enjoy!
