Juicy Chicken Kofta Recipe: A Flavorful Delight for Your Taste Buds

Juicy Chicken Kofta

Ingredients:

– 500g ground chicken

– 1 small onion, finely chopped

– 2 cloves garlic, minced

– 1-inch piece of ginger, grated

– 2 green chilies, finely chopped (adjust to your spice preference)

– 1/4 cup fresh cilantro (coriander) leaves, finely chopped

– 1/4 cup fresh mint leaves, finely chopped

– 1 teaspoon ground cumin

– 1 teaspoon ground coriander

– 1/2 teaspoon red chili powder (adjust to your spice preference)

– 1/2 teaspoon garam masala

– 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder

– 1/2 teaspoon salt (adjust to taste)

– 2 tablespoons besan (gram flour) or breadcrumbs

– 2 tablespoons yogurt

– 2 tablespoons vegetable oil, for frying

Instructions:

1. In a large mixing bowl, add ground chicken, finely chopped onion, minced garlic, grated ginger, chopped green chilies, cilantro, mint leaves, ground cumin, ground coriander, red chili powder, garam masala, turmeric powder, and salt.

2. Mix all the ingredients well with your hands until everything is evenly combined.

3. Add besan (gram flour) or breadcrumbs and yogurt to the chicken mixture. This will help bind the koftas and keep them juicy.

4. Mix everything again until the mixture becomes smooth and pliable.

5. Take a small portion of the chicken mixture and roll it between your palms to form a round ball (kofta). Repeat the process with the remaining mixture.

6. Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Once the oil is hot, add the chicken koftas to the pan in batches, making sure not to overcrowd the pan.

7. Fry the koftas until they are golden brown and cooked through. This will take about 3-4 minutes per side.

8. Once the koftas are cooked, remove them from the pan and place them on a plate lined with paper towels to absorb any excess oil.

9. Serve the juicy chicken koftas hot with your favorite dipping sauce, chutney, or in a wrap with some fresh salad and naan.

Enjoy your delicious and juicy chicken kofta!
