Beef Korma(بیف قورمہ) with lemon and garlic is a delightful dish that combines the richness of beef with the bright flavors of lemon and the aromatic essence of garlic. Here’s a simple recipe for you:

Beef Korma with Lemon and Garlic Recipe:

Ingredients:

  • 1 kg beef, cubed
  • 2 large onions, finely sliced
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 lemon (juiced)
  • 1 cup plain yogurt
  • 1/2 cup cooking oil or ghee
  • 1 cup coconut milk
  • 2 tablespoons Korma spice mix
  • 1 teaspoon ground turmeric
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon ground coriander
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder (adjust to taste)
  • Salt to taste
  • Fresh coriander leaves for garnish (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Marinating the Beef:
    • In a bowl, combine the beef cubes, minced garlic, lemon juice, yogurt, Korma spice mix, ground turmeric, ground cumin, ground coriander, chili powder, and salt.
    • Mix well, ensuring the beef is evenly coated with the marinade.
    • Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or overnight for richer flavor.
  2. Cooking the Beef:
    • In a large pot, heat the cooking oil or ghee over medium heat.
    • Add the finely sliced onions and sauté until golden brown.
  3. Adding the Marinated Beef:
    • Add the marinated beef to the pot and cook until the meat is browned on all sides.

    • Pour in the coconut milk, bring to a simmer, and reduce the heat to low.
