Oven-Baked Spicy Chicken Wings Recipe

You can cook at home easily so here is a simple recipe for oven-baked spicy chicken wings:

Ingredients:

– 2 pounds chicken wings, tips removed and separated into drumettes and flats

– 2 tablespoons vegetable oil

– 1 teaspoon salt

– 1 teaspoon black pepper

– 1 teaspoon paprika

– 1 teaspoon garlic powder

– 1 teaspoon onion powder

– 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper (adjust to your desired level of spiciness)

– 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano

– 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme

– 1/2 teaspoon cumin

– 1/4 cup hot sauce (adjust to your desired level of spiciness)

– 2 tablespoons melted butter

– Optional: blue cheese dressing or ranch dressing for dipping

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the Oven:

Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).

  1. Prep the Chicken:

Pat the chicken wings dry using paper towels. This helps them get crispy when baking. Place the wings in a large mixing bowl.

  1. Season the Wings:

In a small bowl, mix together the salt, black pepper, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, dried oregano, dried thyme, and cumin. Sprinkle this seasoning mixture over the chicken wings. Drizzle the vegetable oil over the wings as well. Toss the wings well to ensure they are evenly coated with the seasoning and oil.

  1. Arrange on Baking Sheet:

Line a baking sheet with aluminium foil or parchment paper for easy cleanup. Place a wire rack on top of the baking sheet. This will elevate the wings, allowing air to circulate and make them crispy. Arrange the seasoned chicken wings on the wire rack.

  1. Bake the Wings:

Place the baking sheet with the wings in the preheated oven. Bake for about 25-30 minutes, or until the wings are golden brown and crispy, flipping them halfway through for even cooking.

  1. Prepare the Sauce:

In a small bowl, mix together the melted butter and hot sauce. Adjust the amount of hot sauce based on your spice preference. If you like them really spicy, you can add more hot sauce.

  1. Coat the Wings:

Once the wings are cooked, remove them from the oven. Carefully dip each wing into the hot sauce and butter mixture, making sure they are coated evenly. You can also use a brush to coat the wings if you prefer.

  1. Serve:

Transfer the coated wings to a serving platter. Serve them hot with your choice of dipping sauce, such as blue cheese dressing or ranch dressing, and some celery sticks.

Enjoy your delicious and spicy oven-baked chicken wings! Remember to adjust the spice levels to your taste preferences.
