
Honey Cake with Berries Recipe
Ingredients:
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup buttermilk

- 1/4 cup honey
- 1 tablespoon hot water

Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a cake pan.
- In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
- In another bowl, cream together the softened butter, honey, and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, alternating with buttermilk. Begin and end with the dry ingredients.
- Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth the top.

- While the cake is baking, prepare the honey glaze by mixing honey and hot water until well combined.
- Once the cake is done, remove it from the oven and immediately brush the honey glaze over the top.
- Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely.
